Thankful

Psalm 136KJV

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

How many of us are really thankful?

So many times it’s hard to just be thankful, we got bills that take all of our money, children  getting on your nerves, our  spouse is driving us crazy, your job sucks. And this is just a few things on some days.

But if we take a minute and look at our situation like yes, I have bills, but thank God I have the money to pay them, our children are healthy and we have food to eat, clothes to wear and shoes on our feet.so thank you lord for the blessings.
I know it sounds crazy because most of us have never been in a situation where any of this was an issue. So that’s why when certain things happen we panic we get upset and irritated, and complain. We complain about the simplest things.

So when you think about marriage especially your marriage how many times do you complain about your spouse not taking out the trash, doing the dishes, cooking enough, not enough gifts.

But is any of this important????

I’ve seen marriages breakup over this like this.

Life is so short we should enjoy it and learn to be thankful and grateful.
If you have someone that loves you and wants to spend their life with you and you love them that’s a lot to be thankful for. There are so many lonely people in the world, nobody to share thoughts and dreams with, to be their partner and best friend, and loneliness will kill you.
No you may not always see eye to eye or the marriage will not always go your way but learn to be thankful. So what your kids take all your money and patience but there are many couples that can’t have children. You’re blessed more then you know.
Maybe financially you are not where you want to be, but pray with your spouse, fast with them and the bible says where two or more gather he will be in the midst. And if you do your marriage Gods way he will bless it.

Lyrics from One of my favorite songs: It could have been me, with no clothes no shoes and no food to eat. So I just want to say Thank you

Take some time today to count your blessings and be thankful.
